We have a lively Facebook group. Please review the page guidelines before posting. Summerside Community League Facebook Page Guidelines
Welcome! The Summerside Community League Facebook page is a meeting place for people who belong to or who are interested in belonging to the Summerside Community League of Edmonton, which serves Sunset Valley, Fields of Summerside, Orchards of Ellerslie, Walker Lakes and Lake Summerside residents.
The goal is to build stronger community connections and ultimately, a stronger community.
It’s a great place to: learn more about your neighbours and neighbourhood; learn more about the Summerside Community League; find out about local businesses and services; share information about community events and issues, including schools, crime and traffic. The page is an open forum where free, lively discussion on community issues is encouraged. In any community, there will be many opinions on any one topic. Your neighbours may not always do things exactly as you do, but we are all still neighbours. Please be respectful of others’ viewpoints.
Admins will, at their discretion, delete inappropriate posts, turn commenting off, and block posters.
Inappropriate posts include (but are not limited to): Posts that attack specific groups or individuals or any comments that bully, harass or threaten an individual. Discriminatory comments regarding race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation or political beliefs. This is not a buy/sell site and we ask that you put those items on the Ellerslie/Summerside buy/sell sites to avoid clogging up this page with items for sale. Buy/sell postings will be deleted.
If you are promoting your business, one ad posting is allowed per week or all will be deleted. Business posts with comments turned off and garage sale posts are allowed on Monday. Delete old ad posts before posting a new one.
Please report any issues or concerns to the page admins. (Click on “members” at the top of the page, then select “admins” from the dropdown menu to send a message to the page admins. Or, email: email@example.com.)
Admins have wide discretion to apply these guidelines to posts on the page and may choose to delete posts and block members from the page.
Members who have concerns about deleted posts or about being blocked from the page may contact the Summerside Community League board president by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. The board president will forward the concern to be discussed at the next regularly scheduled board meeting.
Unless indicated as such, items and comments posted on the page do not represent the official viewpoints of the Summerside Community League or its board.
